Andhra Pradesh chief minister K Rosaiah on Tuesday said the state would provide logistics support for peaceful operations of the industry in the wake of Telangana agitations.
“The state has the potential to attract more industries and such agitations would not come in the way of development. Hyderabad, or for that matter Andhra Pradesh, is a safe place for investments,” he said.
Rosaiah was addressing the national executive committee meeting of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Ficci) here.
The Justice Srikrishna Committee, which is studying the situation, was expected to submit its report by the year end, he said.
Ficci president Rajan Bharti Mittal sought an assurance from the government on the kind of industrial environment that would be provided for the development of trade and commerce.
