Even as the AISECT Group launches its private university in Bhopal, AISECT University, the education group is mulling another campus in other states including Gujarat.
In Bhopal, the AISECT University will currently offer graduate and post graduate programs through schools organised in the categories of engineering, education, management, law, Information Technology, M.Phil, Ph.D, Arts, Science and Commerce.
"The campus in Bhopal is spread over a 50 acre area. While Gujarat and some other states still don't allow private universities, we are awaiting for the state governments to do so. Once done, we intend to set up such a private university in Gujarat as well," said Pallavirao Chaturvedi, director, AISECT Group.
The university in Bhopal will see its inaugural session in July 2011. The AISECT University has been established under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act by the Government of MP Act No. 27 of 2010. The engineering undergraduate programs of AISECT University have been approved by AICTE while the B.Ed. program of the university has been approved by NCTE.
According to Santosh Choubey, Chairman, AISECT Group the varsity will deliver quality technical education to through an interactive, learning oriented environment, state of the art infrastructure including laboratories and qualified faculty.
The university will provide a wide spectrum of student centric services and programs and will work closely with them to help grow a rich academic and social environment. "Every course is designed keeping in mind the degree of expertise the student needs to attain for a successful future in the field. Moreover, the university will benefit from the wide industry linkages of its parent organization, AISECT," said Choubey.
Prior to the launch of this university, AISECT has already set up Dr. C.V. Raman University in Bilaspur, Chhatisgarh in 2006.
