The problem of low voltage at Anandpur, a mineral rich sub-division in Keonjhar district, will now be overcome and the residents can have access to better and steady supply of power, thanks to the commissioning of the 132/33 KV grid sub station there.
The substation at Anandpur was inaugurated and dedicated to the people of Orissa by the state Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday.
This area was getting power supply through 33 KV feeder from Jajpur Road grid sub-station and Bhadrak grid sub-station. Due to long distance of source of supply, this area was reeling under the problem of low voltage. In order to eradicate the problem of low voltage and to have a better and steady power supply in the area, this project was started during January 2009 after the foundation stone laid by Patnaik.
The work was completed by the city-based EHT electrical construction firm A K Das Associates Ltd in a record period of 15 months.
