Andhra Pradesh will be bagging five awards in the e-governance area of the 15 to be presented by the Computer Society of India (CSI) at its 40th national annual convention in Hyderabad from November 9-12, 2005. |
Rajiv internet-village, Jawahar Knowledge Centre, Chief Minister's Management Information System, AP Transport Department and the policy framework and e-readiness have been chosen for the awards. |

The CSI is organising the national convention in Hyderabad after a gap of around 10 years. This year, the convention will focus on information and communication technology (ICT) for national development. |

Parallel tracks covering education, government, industry and technology will be organised. A student programming contest with cash prizes of Rs 7,500, Rs 4,000 and Rs 2,500 for the first three winners will also be part of the convention. |

Around 450 delegates including participants from Pakistan, Japan and Korea are expected to attend the event. |
