Andhra Pradesh government is expected to sign MoUs for investments totalling around Rs 4 lakh crore with companies across energy, mining, industries, IT, housing and tourism among other sectors during the three-day Partnership Summit being held from January 10-12 at Visakhapatnam.
"Various departments have been working with companies to finalise the MoU drafts and the work is still going on. As things stand today the industries and the energy sectors alone are expected to get investment commitments worth about Rs 3 lakh crore,"a senior government official told Business Standard.
Industries department is planning to line up as many as 150 MoUs to be signed during the three day Summit.
The event is being co-hosted by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry in partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
The state government is expecting the participation of delegates from 33 countries in the event. A large number of Central Ministers including Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Nirmala Sitharaman were also expected to take part in the event. Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate the summit on January 10.
