Chief minister K Rosaiah invited Republic of Tatarstan (Russian Federation) to explore the possibilities of setting up units for manufacturing power plant machinery, assembling aircraft and helicopters and other units.
He was speaking at the signing of protocol on the implementation of agreement between Republic of Tatarstan and the state government.
The chief minister said there was vast potential to boost bilateral cooperation between Andhra Pradesh and Tatarstan in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, petrochemicals and chemicals, gas-based industries, defence equipment, information technology and ITeS areas.
Tatarstan deputy Prime Minister Valeeva Zilya said there were many fields in which AP and Tatarstan could boost mutual ties.
