Apollo Luanches On-Line Lottery For Arunachal

Apollo International Ltd aims at generating business of Rs 2,500 crore over three years through its lottery business.

The company, a part of Apollo group, is the license holder of on-line lottery for Arunachal Pradesh government.

Lottus, the brand name of the recently launched on-line lottery, would spread its wings in the east as well as Kerala, Mumbai and Karnataka.

Apollo International joint managing director Raaja Kanwar the company would invest Rs 250 crore in three years.

The investment, he expected, would help the company grab leadership position in the exponentially growing on-line lottery market.

In addition to widening the reach of the Arunachal Pradesh lottery, the company would bid for licenses in Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and Kerala.

The company would set up 1,000 terminals by this month which would be extended to 5,000 by March.

These terminals would be set up in West Bengal, north eastern states, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra in the first phase and later in the balance 14 states where on-line lottery was allowed.

He said global lottery market, considered to be as big as Rs 7,00,000 crore, was growing at 10 per cent a year. The global market was 14 times of the Indian one.
