Arzoo.com, a travel portal, has launched a dedicated website for the convenience of tourists and visitors to the Commonwealth Games, to be held in Delhi between October 3 and 14.
The website, commonwealthgamestravel.net, is expected to be a ready reckoner for the Games and other services such as hospitals, hotels, cafés and shopping destinations in Delhi. It will also provide information on India’s tourists attractions.
“Commonwealth Games 2010 is a golden opportunity for India to portray itself as a nation that strongly promotes sporting and cultural activities as well as position itself as an emerging economic power of the world. It is not only a significant event for the sports fraternity but also a huge opportunity for tourists to explore India and its cultural heritage. Arzoo.com would like to tap this opportunity,” the company said in a statement.
Arzoo.com is headed by Sabeer Bhatia.
According to official estimates, the Games will be visited by around 100,000 tourists.
