The Asian Social Forum (ASF), which opens here tomorrow, will deliberate on diverse aspects of the impact of globalisation, particularly its impact on the vulnerable sections in the developing countries. Over 700 delegates from 40 countries, mostly in Asia, are likely to attend the six-day meet.
The event includes eight major conferences in the city and over 200 seminars at different venues in the country. ASF is part of world mobilisation against neo-liberal globalisation that emerged in Seattle in 1999 against the WTO.
