IT ministers and delegations from Japan to Iran will participate at the meet. The two-day event with IT Industry Forum and Ministers Summit offers an inimitable business opportunity, a state government note said.
The event will be organised by the department of IT, the union ministry of communications and information technology, Nasscom and the state government. The state government is trying hard to make Gitex 2004 successful, keeping in view the mild reaction it received last time.
C K Veeresh, the joint director (promotions), IT&C department of the state government, said that the exhibition space is running out at a rapid pace. The government is expecting a 57 per cent increase in the number of exhibitors compared to Gitex 2003.
The event, to be organised by the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC), expects about 110 Indian and overseas exhibitors at the forthcoming event in January 2004 compared to 70 participants last time. The organisers have also advanced the schedule of the event by about ten days - to January 12 to 14 this time from the normal third week of January.
