The US subprime worries took its toll on the Asian equity markets for the second straight day, and all major indices posted significant losses today.The Hang Seng was down 766 points at 20,609. The Nikkei recovered partially from the day's low of 15,859, but still finished with a loss of 2% (327 points) at 16,148.The Seoul Composite index plunged 7% (126 points) to 1692. The Taiwan Weighted index dropped 4.5% (392 points) to 8201, and the Straits Times index shed 3.9% (127 points) to 3146.The Shanghai Composite index was down over 2% (104 points) at 4765.
