The Asian markets continued to display firm trend following the sharp pull back in US markets.The Nikkei ended with a gain of 183 points at 16,860. The Hang Seng has gained 158 points at 18,995, and the Shanghai index surged 43 points to 2949.The Taiwan Weighted index moved up 126 points to 7696. The Straits Times and Seoul Compositie indices were up 1.2% each at 3090 and 1425, respectively.Updated at 0920 hrsTracking overnight gains in the US markets, Asian markets have bounced back this morning.While the Nikkei has surged 242 points to 16,919, the Hang Seng has rallied 179 points to 19,016. The Shanghai index has gained 30 points at 2937.The Taiwan Weighted index has advanced 1.7% (127 points) to 7698. The Straits Times and the Seoul Composite indices are up around 1.2% each at 3090 and 1425, respectively.
