A unversity of international standards will be set up near Guwahati and the government was in the process of acquiring a 700 acres of land, he said.

The other focus areas of the action plan will be agriculture, irrigation and power, the chief minister said.

Setting up of food processing units will be the priority while effort will be made to hasten the commissioning of the power projects to ease the current power crisis in the state, Gogoi said.
