The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (Assocham) has urged the Haryana government to reform its land laws in a bid to attract companies to invest in the state.
In addition, the Assocham has demanded uniformity in the stamp duty structure of the state and urged the government to confer infrastructure status for the hospitality industry to enable it avail certain tax concessions.
In a representation sent to Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda including Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd, Assocham Secretary General D S Rawat said that there was an urgent need to bring structural reforms in the land market, land tenure, taxation and housing finance in the state of Haryana.
