Australian state peddles BT potential

Keith Anthonisz, manager-biotechnology, department of industry and resources, Western Australia emphasised the potential for the Asia-Pacific region to develop by using mutually beneficial trade ties.
 
He was here to support alliances and partnerships between India and Western Australia. His team was focussed on the development of biotech industries leveraging on Western Australia's strengths. W Australia is the biggest state of Australia.
 
Western Australia has 400 biotech companies and many of them are involved in human therapeutics.
 
Western Australia being mineral rich now has many Indian firms rushing there to make up for lost time as the Chinese have multi-billion dollar investments in the mines of Western Australia.
