Austrian delegation visits IMC

A 40-member Austrian business delegation visited the Indian Merchants Chamber (IMC) last week to explore business opportunities in India.
 
The team was headed by Enzelsberger Ernest, professor, Ing MBA. Austrian trade commissioner was also part of the team.
 
Ernest said that the delegation members were keen on business opportunities in India and were looking for suitable avenues and Indian partners. He also asked for the necessary information.
 
The Trade Commissioner Hans Jorg Hortnagl said that the mutual trade and industrial relations between the two countries were becoming strong. He added that last year, the trade volume reached ¤200 million and the figures were still rising.
 
Nayan Patel, president, IMC, said that small and medium size industries were dominant in both the countries. The SMEs can explore the options and can conveniently enter into partnerships with their counterparts, he added.
 
Austria plans roadshow of its technolgies in food processing sectors, power and pharmaceuticals.
 
Some Austrian companies are already outsourcing their operations at Chennai.
