Bajaj Electricals is further strengthening its R & D division to enter futuristic lighting technologies --- the light emitting diodes ( LED) technology and the optic fibres lighting.
According to G P Satsangi, the vice-president and head (luminaries business) of Bajaj Electricals, work on LED technology was at an advanced stage and they may make a foray into the technology shortly.
In regard to optic fibre lighting, he disclosed that Bajaj Electricals had recently successfully completed optic fibre lighting for the Ajanta caves in Maharashtra and this was received well.
