Bangalore to host Excon 2007

India's largest construction equipment and technology trade fair, Excon 2007, is expected to attract 300 exhibitors and 55,000 visitors all over the world. The fair will be held in Bangalore 14-18 November, 2007.

"This would be Asia's third largest trade fair for equipment industry and the exhibition would serve as a one-stop shop for construction equipment and related spares accessories in India, with delegates and the CEOs from around 16 countries expected to participate at the event, he added.," said Vipin Sondhi, chairman, Excon 2007.

Apart from the exhibition the fair is also organising a global group CEO session and an international conference on the industry.

"During the Eleventh Five Year Plan (2007-2012), projected investments of over $475 billion are envisaged in the infrastructure sector, which has led to huge opportunities for the private sector participation in the infrastructure development," Sondhi said, while talking with the reporters at a function organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry.
