The finance ministry saw a secretary-level reshuffle today as NS Sisodia took over as the new banking and insurance secretary and MMK Sardana assumed charge as secretary in the department of company affairs.
Sardana, a 1968 batch IAS officer of the West Bengal cadre, was special secretary in the power ministry before his new assignment. He takes over from VK Dhall, who has been appointed member in the Competition Commission of India. Immediately after assuming charge, Sardana reviewed the reform measures in the area of corporate governance.
