The restoration of peace in junglemahal, a former Naxal stronghold in West Bengal, showcased as a success story will be visited by the Chief Minister again tomorrow to campaign for the panchayat polls.

"I am going to junglemahal tomorrow. I will go to interior areas like Belpahari and Kantapahari. Our journey for political change in West Bengal after 34 years (of Left Front rule) begun with junglemahal," Banerjee, who last week alleged that Naxal and the opposition were conspiring to kill her, told reporters here.

"Fool-proof security arrangements have been made for the visit of the chief minister," West Midnapore district police sources said.

Banerjee had last week addressed two panchayat election meetings at Bankura and in Purulia districts also part of junglemahal.

Trinamool Congress MP Sisir Adhikary told PTI that the people in junglemahal were eagerly awaiting her visit.

"She has transformed the scenario in junglemahal with development packages and political courage," Adhikary said.

Junglemahal consisting of forested areas of West Midnapore, Bankura and Purulia districts, was the worst hit Naxal area during Left Front rule.
