The West Bengal government will soon invite expression of interest (EoI) for setting up a mother processing unit and processing plants for pineapple products in north Bengal. The project is part of the agri export zone (AEZ) for pineapples, recently approved by the Centre.
The mother processing unit, sources say, would be set up either in Jalpaiguri or Siliguri because of large-scale pineapple cultivation in these district.
