BioAsia 2006 from February 9

BioAsia 2006, the third edition of BioAsia, an annual biotech event promoted by the Andhra Pradesh government and Genome Valley, will be held next month at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre. The event will be held from February 9-11, 2006.

This year's conference will have new and innovative modules in its schedule in addition to the International Trade Show, B2B forums and conferences.

Besides, industry secretaries from ten states "� Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Uttaranchal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Orissa, West Bengal, Maharashtra and Punjab "� will discuss the development of bio cluster in India during the BioParks session to be hosted at the Genome Valley on the opening day.

Prominent speakers include Hannah Kettler, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Gurinder Shahi, director of Global Business Initiative at the Centre for Global Excellence, University of Southern California, Simon See of Sun Microsystems, Singapore, Irv Weismann, head of the cancer centre at Stanford University and Roger Williams, CEO, United States Pharmacopoeia.

BioAsia 2006 is expected to attract more than 60 exhibitors, 500 conference delegates, 60 internationally acclaimed speakers, 15,000 visitors from across the globe and 20 leading biotech countries, according to a press release.
