| Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation Ltd (GIDC), which has been entrusted with the task of setting up the park, has invited tenders for the first phase. These tenders will be opened on September 17 for scrutiny. |

| The tender has been invited for three separate sections of the first phase. The first section, which includes constructing the compound wall, entrance gate, laying of internal roads, water supply and electrical works, is estimated to cost around Rs nine crore. |

| The second section, involves providing and laying a water supply pipeline from GSFC pipeline near Prathampurva to the GIDC estate in Savli and construction for staff quarters at Savli GIDC, is expected to cost Rs seven crore. |

| In the third section, which includes laying a 800 mm diameter pipeline along with construction of a pump house, electric control room and facilities to provide drainage supply, the estimated cost is around Rs four crore. |

| The park, which will provide an impetus for research to the pharmaceutical industry, agriculture and bio-technology, will be located at Savli Industrial Estate, about 15 km from Vadodara. A plot of land has already been allotted for the purpose. |

| The state government intends to provide a grant of Rs 27 crore for the project, that is expected to cost Rs 55 crore. Nearly 90 hectares of land in the industrial estate has been allotted for the proposed park and the state government has already sought aid from the central government for the project. |

| The government will provide infrastructural facilities inside the park such as developed plots, incubator blocks and a central research and development laboratory. |
