BJP established an early lead in all the four parliamentary seats in Himachal Pradesh.
In Hamirpur, BJP candidate Anurag Thakur, son of chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, was leading over his Congress rival Narinder Thakur by 20,000 votes.
Veteran Congress leader Virbhadra Singh was trailing behind his BJP rival Maheshwar Singh by 4,000 votes at Mandi, while BJP candidate Rajan Sushant was ahead of Congress nominee Chander Kumar in Kangra.
In Shimla (reserved) constituency, BJP's Virendra Kashyap was leading over his Congress rival Dhaniram Shandil by 7,000 votes.
