BJP leaders Sushma Swaraj, Sumitra Mahajan, Dilip Singh Judev, Yashodhara Raje and B Y Raghvendra, son of Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, figure in the list of 46 candidates declared by the party today for the forthcoming Lok sabha elections.
The list is for the states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Karnataka.
Swaraj will contest from Vidisha, Mahajan from Indore, party’s SC Cell chief Satyanarain Jatiya (Ujjain), former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Kailash Joshi (Bhopal), BJP Madhya Pradesh chief Narendra Singh Tomar (Moraina), Karuna Shukla (Korba) and Dilip Singh Judev (Bilaspur).
Raghvendra has got the party ticket from Shimoga, Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Jaswant Singh’s son Manvendra Singh will contest from Barmer and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje’s son Dushyant Singh will enter into fray from Jhalawar. Manvendra and Dushyant are sitting Mps.
Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh’s brother and sitting BJP MP Laxman Singh will contest from Raghogarh while Raje’s sister Yashodara will contest from Gwalior.
BJP has so far announced 166 candidates.

BJP General Secretary Arun Jaitley in Uttar Pradesh said the party is waiting for its opponents to declare their candidates before coming out with another list.
The party has already declared 51 candidates out of the 80 in UP. NDA ally JD(U) will contest on some seats in UP, he said.
BJP will hold its next CEC meeting on March 9 to decide on the remaining candidates for the five-phase general elections starting from April 16.
