For the first time after the arrest of MDMK chief V Gopalswamy alias Vaiko under POTA, the BJP has taken a tough stand to save another MDMK leader and Minister of State for Non-Conventional Energy M Kannappan from the wrath of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.
BJP chief M Venkaiah Naidu is learnt to have urged the Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to send across the message that misuse of POTA was unacceptable.
