Vijay Kumar Malhotra, deputy leader of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Lok Sabha, today resigned as Member of Parliament (MP).
Malhotra’s resignation follows his election to the Delhi State Legislative Assembly from Greater Kailash constituency in the recently held election that saw Congress party retain power in the National Capital.
Party sources said Malhotra had submitted his resignation to the Speaker Somnath Chatterjee today.
