Newly-appointed president of BJP's Gujarat unit R C Faldu today said no indiscipline will be tolerated in the party.
Faldu said so when asked as to whether the party was contemplating disciplinary action against Mahuva MLA Kanu Kalsaria, who has been spearheading farmers' agitation against cement plant being set up by Nirma group in his constituency in Bhavnagar district.
Kalsaria was attacked yesterday by some unknonw people.
He said no explanation has been sought from Kalsaria, who has taken anti-government stand on the cement plant issue.
"BJP is a disciplined party and therefore everybody is expected to follow the disciplinary norms of the party," he said.
“The state BJP government is not against farmers and have worked for farmers welfare and thus Gujarat has achieved highest growth rate in agriculture sector in the country," Faldu said.
