Bank of India(BoI) is planning to introduce mobile banking service in the city shortly. Infrasoft Technologies, a Mumbai-based company will provide software solutions for the wireless network to be deployed by the bank.
The mobile ATM will be connected to the bank's branch network through a wireless medium and validates account balances online before committing any transaction.
Customers using mobile ATMs can have accounts in any of the 275 branches currently connected to multi branch banking (MBB) network of the bank. According to a Infrasoft release, Swadhan ATM cardholders will also be able to use the mobile ATM facility.
The release said that BoI had deployed Infrasoft's Omni Enterprise Financial Transaction software which works as a control between the existing software in the bank branch and the ISC switch.
