Press Trust Of India Kolkata
Striking a conciliatory tone in the face of growing protests against Tatas' car project on farm land in Singur, West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee today said he was willing to discuss the issue with Opposition Trinamool Congress and Congress "with an open mind."

"I am willing for talks with the Trinamool Congress and Congress with an open mind," he told a CITU rally at the Brigade Parade ground, a day after violent resistance to fencing of the project site at Singur in Hoogly district.

"The Trinamool Congress was even given a land map. But they did not turn up for the last meeting," he said.
