While Andhra Sugars made the highest offer of Rs 36 crore for the West Godavari Cooperative Sugar Factory, the Tirupati-based Sudalagunta Hotels offered Rs 22.22 crore for Sri Venkateshwara Cooperative Sugar factory and Rs 21 crore for the Chittoor Cooperative Sugars. For the Nizamabad unit, Turbomachinery and Engineering came up with a highest offer of Rs 11 crore.
However, in the case of Amadalavalasa Cooperative Sugar unit, the sub-committee felt that the highest price offered was not adequate to meet even the secured liabilities and observed that it could be re-advertised for sale.
