Campaigning for the first phase of Lok Sabha polls in Karnataka ended today. The polling is scheduled for 17 parliamentary constituencies going to polls on April 23 in the first phase in the state. There are 26 million voters in these constituencies and 271 candidates are in the fray.
The election commission has set up 29,127 polling stations across 17 constituencies such as Belgaum, Bidar, Bellary, Bijapur, Chikkodi, Gulbarga, Koppal, Raichur, Chitradurga, Uttara Kannada, Tumkur, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore North, Bangalore South, Bangalore Central, Chikkaballapur and Kolar.
