Cardiac attack fells DG of Chhattisgarh police

Director General of Chhattisgarh Police Om Prakash Rathor""who was top on the hit list of Maoists""died of a massive heart-attack today afternoon.
 
He was the fifth police chief of Chhattisgarh police.
 
Rathor-- a 1973-batch Indian Police Service (IPC) official""today afternoon went to deliver a lecture at the state police academy on Sadbhavna Diwas to commemorate the assassination of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
 
While speaking on the Maoist menace, Rathor complained of uneasiness and fell unconscious.
 
He was immediately rushed to the Escorts hospital, where efforts by doctors failed to revive him.
 
"There was no pulse nor heart-beat when (Rathor) was admitted in the hospital. The doctors put all systems, but failed. He was declared dead at 1.45 p.m.," doctors at Escorts who attended on Rathor said.
