The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) continued its search operations on the second day on Friday in connection with the case of alleged financial misdeeds and illegal amassment of wealth by Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The investigative agency, which had named over 70 persons and firms in the FIR issued in the case, searched the premises of some more companies that were charged with having close business dealings or had made investments into the firms of the son of former chief minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy.

Searches have been conducted in the offices of Hyderabad-based Aurobindo Pharma, Navabharat group and Ramky group, the three listed companies, apart from continuing with the ongoing raids on the Penna group, Vanpic company, R R Global and Brahmani Infratech.

The CBI also conducted searches in the plant premises of Hetero Pharma and Aurobindo Pharma companies in a Pharmaceuticals Special Economic Zone (SEZ) located in the neighbouring Mahabubnagar district.

Searches are expected to continue for few more days.
