CCS on Indo-Pak talks

The Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) yesterday met and discussed the issues to be negotiated at the upcoming meeting of the foreign ministers of India and Pakistan on Septemeber 5 and 6.
 
"The whole situation and the negotiating points were discussed," Defence Minister Paranab Mukherjee told reporters emerging from the 90-minute long meeting chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
 
Mukherjee, however, declined to divulge the details.
 
Pakistan Foreign Minister Khursheed Mahmmud Kasuri would be meeting External Affairs Minister Natwar Singh as part of the composite dialogue process, he said.
 
He said the Prime Minister would brief opposition leaders and the External Affairs Minister would brief leaders of the ruling upa before the formal talks.
 
The meeting was attended among others by Home Minister Shivraj Patil, External Affairs Minister Natwar Singh, Finance Minister P Chidambaram and centre's pointsman on talks on Jammu and Kashmir N N Vohra.
