The Centurion University of Technology & Management located at Paralakhemundi in backward Gajapati district has signed an agreement with University of Southern Queensland (USQ) recently.

The agreement was signed between Mukti K Mishra, Chairman, Centurion Group of Institutes and Bill Lovegrove, Vice Chancellor, University of Southern Queensland in the presence of Orissa governor, Murlidhar Chandrakant Bhandare and USQ Chancellor, Bobbie Brazil at the USQ’s campus in Toowoomba, Australia.

As per the agreement, Centurion University of Technology & Management in partnership with USQ will offer post graduate courses in Management, Engineering and Science.

This partnership provides a unique opportunity for students to receive dual degrees (Indian & Australian).

The Centurion Group of Institutes was recently accorded university status and has been renamed as Centurion University of Technology and Management in August 2010.Welcoming the partnership, Mishra said, this comes at opportune time as the Indian market opens its door to foreign higher education providers and unlocks new avenues for Indian students to pursue higher international education.

USQ is a pioneer in distance education having similar missions and values as Centurion University in providing higher education to disadvantaged and underprivileged sections across the world, he added.
