Although considered a sunrise industry, the food processing sector in India is plagued by a shortage of skilled manpower. With a view to address this specific problem through its SDP, the CFTRI is organising the survey.
To begin with, the programme intends to impart specific skills required by fruit and vegetable as well as bakery industries. The survey is in preparation for an SDP that is being planned by the premier research Institute, CFTRI Head of Information & Publicity P K Gupta said today.
