Chinese industry team to visit Rajkot

A delegation of Chinese ball bearing and machine tools manufacturers will visit Rajkot next month to explore the possibilities of tie-ups with the local units and source parts for various machines used by the Chinese industries.

The delegation's visit to Gujarat is facilitated by the India Chinese Trade Center in Beijing. For the last two years, Chinese manufacturers have been buying bearings made by the industries in Rajkot.

Narendra Patel, a bearing manufacturer, said there are about 500 units engaged in the production of ball bearings in Saurashtra and more then 1,000 ancillary units are functional here.
