CII to hold farm meet in Jaipur

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organising the second "Agri Conclave 2006: Bringing New Techniques and Ideas to the Masses", a conference cum showcase of agriculture and food products, on July 14 and 15, at Kota to highlight and discuss latest advancements in the agri-sector.
 
The Rajasthan government will be a partner in this event. The event will include a conference of key government personnel, leaders of various companies, farmers, academicians, non-governmental agencies and experts from agriculture sector, etc. Over 300 farmers from Hadauti region are expected to attend the two-day session.
 
The farmers will discuss issues pertaining to agriculture and suggest solutions. The sessions will have dedicated discussions on crops and issues and problems related to Hadauti region as well.
 
It will serve to create linkages, share best practices and new technologies. Some of the topics include water, crop diversification, contract and organic farming, agri-marketing, agri-financing, insurance, infrastructure, etc. One session is dedicated to showcasing best practices by farmers from various parts of India.
 
A showcase to highlight products, services, processes and technologies will also be organised simultaneously.
 
The exhibition will be a platform for the participants to display their products and services for the target customers.
