In an interesting turn of events, GSM and CDMA operators have joined forces to protest the Telecom Regulatory of India (Trai) decision to reduce inter-connect usage charges (IUC).
GSM operators’ lobby, the Cellular Operators’ Association of India (COAI), and CDMA operators’ lobby, the Association of Unified Telecom Service Providers of India (AUSPI) today requested the Telecom Disputes Settlement And Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) to make them a party to the petition filed by the state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) challenging the Trai move.
