The combination segment is also the fastest growing among all three motorcycles segments, growing at 28 per cent per year.
The state is also the fourth largest motorcycle market in the country, with over three lakh vehicles being sold annually. Of the total 39 lakh motorcycles sold all over the country, 67 per cent is from the combination segment that is led by Hero Honda Splendor and TVS Suzuki.
The economy segment, which accounts for 20 per cent of the market, has motorcycles such as Bajaj Boxer, TVS max and CD Dawn, while the performance segment accounts for the remaining sales.
Kinetic Engineering Ltd is all set to exploit this segment after the launch of Kinetic Velocity.
