Commercial tax department launches new online services for businessmen

Commercial Tax Department in Chhattisgarh had expanded its online services with an objective to bestow better facilities to businessmen in the state. The department has initiated online services for registration, amendments, cancellation and luxury tax registration of businessmen, online service for TDS registration and offline services for filing returns. Commercial Tax Commissioner R S Vishwakarma today inaugurated the new services. The department officials said that now the businessmen might avail modification and deletion facilities from their workplace itself. These online facilities have been expanded on demand of businessmen, and the Chamber of Commerce and Sales Tax Association.

Vishwakarma said that considerate efforts were taken to ensure quick redressal of businessmen's grievances. In the same direction, new online services have been initiated to facilitate the business-related activities. The department is already conducting online services for e-registration, e-return, e-payment, e-refund, e-form, tax clearance certificate.

President of Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industry Amar Parwani said that Chhattisgarh Commercial Tax Department had taken significant decisions in the larger interest of business sector. The online services that have been inaugurated today have further simplified the business-related activities. Offline return deposit facility will reduce the time consumed in filing statements.
