Computer show ruined by storm

Compass 2005, the exhibition organised by the regional information technology sector association and inaugurated on March 11, may have to close down this year following losses caused by a storm.

"The pavilion has collapsed in the storm and there is little chance of reopening", said a participant.

The exhibition was housed in giant tents in the Kolkata Maidan. The venue was hit by the early morning nor'wester storm and rainfall that hit Kolkata on March 12.
