Congress yesterday denied it had taken any decision on the issue of continuing their support to the Shankersinh Vaghela government in Gujarat.
We have not decided anything yet..The issue came up for discussion at the informal steering committee meeting last Sunday but it has not taken any final decision, party spokesman V N Gadgil said.
Regarding Bihar, Gadgil said the party had decided to support the Rabri Devi government.
Gadgil said Congress still stood by its demand for Home Minister Indrajit Gupta withdrawing his remarks that Congress leader in Maharashtra Chhagan Bhujbal had links with the underworld. Gupta neither withdrew his observations nor expressed regret while replying to a discussion on the atrocities on dalits in the Rajya Sabha yesterday. The demand for an apology from the Home Minister as also withdrawal of certain observations by him was made by party chief Sitaram Kesri while addressing the party steering committee last week.
