Ruling Congress won the Tezu seat and was leading in 10 other constituencies in Arunachal Pradesh as counting was taken up this morning.
Congress candidate Kaikuo Kri won the Tezu seat defeating Nakul Chai (Trinamool Congress) by 3,845 votes.
With this, the Congress has bagged four seats in the 60-member House having won three seats uncontested. Chief minister Dorjee Khandu was declared elected unopposed from Mukto, besides Jambey Tashi from Lumla and Tsewang Dhondup from Tawang.
Among the Congress candidates leading were Home minister Jarbom Gamlin from the Liromoba seat. He was leading over his nearest BJP rival Bai Gadi by 2,728 votes.
Also leading was APCC president Nabam Tuki from Sagalee, who was ahead of his nearest NCP rival Tad Tana by 1,866 votes.
The Congress was also leading in Chowkham, Dirang, Mariyang-Geku, Nacho and Pangin.
