Congress-NCP coalition has established an early lead over Shiv Sena-BJP according to the trends available for 20 of the 48 seats in Maharashtra.
NCP chief Sharad Pawar is leading by over 4,000 votes in Maadha constituency over his nearest rival Mahadeo Jaankar of RSP, while Power minister Sushilkumar Shinde leading by over 18,000 votes in Solapur over BJP candidate.
Shiv Sena's Anand Adsul is leading over his nearest rival Rajendra Gawai of RPI (Gawai) in Amravati, while Subhash Wankhede (Sena) is leading over his nearest rival Union minister of state for rural development Suryakanta Patil in Hingoli.
Sena's Suresh Gambhir is leading over Shweta Parulekar of MNS in Mumbai South-Central, former Union power minister Anant Gite (Sena) is leading over Union minister for Minority Affairs A R Antulay of Congress in Raigad by 14,309 votes.
Gite has polled 31,616 votes so far. Bhausaheb Wakchaure of Shiv Sena was leading over RPI leader Ramdas Athawale in Shirdi. Former Union Minister Suresh Prabhu has established a lead over Nilesh Rane, son of state Industries Minister Narayan Rane in Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg.
