After allegations that a Gujarat BJP MP was behind the killing of an RTI activist Amit Jethwa, Congress today said it was a serious issues and demanded thorough investigations to bring the guilty to book.
"If allegations have been made that an RTI activist has been killed at the behest of a BJP MP, it is a serious issue. It should be thoroughly investigated and the guilty should be brought to book," party spokesman Manish Tewari said.
He said lawlessness has prevailed in Gujarat for a long time and referred to the state Home Minister staying away from office for fear of being arrested by the CBI and the fake encounters in the state.
