The special court trying the Satyam fraud cases today reserved till June 23 its order on clubbing of three chargesheets filed by CBI, probing the multi-crore accounting scam against Ramalinga Raju and nine others.
Similarly, order on a request by two accused -- Rama Krishna and Venkatapati Raju, to use computers in the prison, will be issued on June 25.
Magistrate B V L N Chakravarti, presiding over the trial court, today completed the hearing of arguments put forward by prosecution and defence.
Satyam counsel argued that all the cases mentioned in the three chargesheets were interrelated and could not be separated. CBI, however, argued that the cases pertaining to FERA, income tax and other violations cannot be clubbed and should be tried separately.
The CBI counsel argued that the clubbing of cases for their speedy disposal was meaningless. The Magistrate posted the case to June 23 for orders.
Meanwhile, authorities at Chenchalguda Prison, where the accused have been lodged, told the court that there was no facility to use computer in the jail. They were earlier directed by the court to submit a report on whether the two accused can use computer in the prison.
