Global crude oil prices shot up to close at a four-month high yesterday. While the Nymex U.S. light crude oil for April delivery rose $1.37 to settle at $53.05 a barrel, the London Brent crude jumped $1.15 to close at $51.24.In the metal category, the COMEX gold fell 10 cents to finish at $433.80 an ounce.
