Global crude prices plunged in Asian trades to their lowest level in 17 months today as market sentiment worsened over OPEC's production cuts and other bearish factors, dealers said.New York's main contract, light sweet crude for delivery in December, was 21 cents lower at $56.05 per barrel after sinking $2.50 to $56.26 per barrel in late US trade as the markets reviewed conflicting reports on OPEC's exports.Brent North Sea crude for January delivery declined three cents to $58.51 dollars per barrel after dropping 2.07 dollars in London trade yesterday.Updated at 0830 hrs: US crude at 2006 low, tumbles 4%The US crude oil futures plunged 4.3% to its lowest level this year as forecasts of a mild winter in US.Crude oil futures for December delivery dropped $2.50 to $56.26 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
